RE:FORM Conference: A Focusing Forum for Christian Social Change
Save the Date: September 24-26, 2008
Join us for a gathering of Christian leaders to practically address some of the world’s most pressing issues and unite to offer Biblical solutions to a world in crisis.
“The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives, and release from darkness for the prisoners…” Isaiah 61:1
Human Justice
“I, the LORD, love justice…” Is.61:8
Wednesday September 24th will be devoted entirely to the epidemic of Human Trafficking, with dynamic speakers and panelists, along with workshops lead by experts in the fight. Combined with the networking opportunities, we expect this to be an invaluable opportunity to collectively strategize for the coming years.
World Crises
Thursday September 25th we will examine other injustice issues such as Poverty, World Hunger, Illiteracy, Corrupt Leadership, Disease, and Global Environmental Decline, and the impact each of these crises have on the others. We’ll look at how Christians can address these issues locally and internationally.
Environmental Stewardship
Friday September 26th will provide an in depth look at the environmental issues as they impact humanity and ways that Christians can make a difference in this area. Speakers, workshops, and networking opportunities will provide the tools to embrace the Biblical mandate to care for God's creation wherever you are. An optional hands-on outreach will be available on Saturday the 27th.
